This class is intended for students who completed Arabic I.  Students acquire increased mastery in all the communication skills of Arabic — reading, writing,  listening, speaking and grammar. The course includes texts on various topics with detailed in-class discussions to help students become fluent readers. Reading activities are combined with listening comprehension and writing exercises. New grammatical skills in Arabic 2  include full details of the past and present  tense verbs, interrogative particles, some plural forms, negation of the present tense, and cases (nominative, accusative, and genitive).


Prerequisites: Completion of Arabic I or permission of instructor

Age Level:  14 years and older -- adults welcome
Tuition per Semester:  $150

Class Meets: Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:15 - 8:15 AM Pacific
Class Begins: Wednesdays, September 8th.

Rima Zafaran, B.A.

Rima El Chami Zafaran is a Lebanese native speaker, who was born, raised, and educated in Lebanon. She graduated from Balamand University and has taught the  Arabic language to a wide variety of age levels for more than 8 years. Rima moved to the United States in 2005. She and her husband, who is a Syrian Antiochian Orthodox priest, have four beautiful children.
