Beginners Modern Greek (Middle School - Adult)

Beginners Modern Greek is designed for students without any prior exposure to the Modern Greek language. Students will learn the Greek alphabet, syllables, the days of the week, the months of the year, numbers, telling time and everyday dialogues. They will also learn how to order food, buy clothes, purchase a travel ticket, ask and give directions, etc. They will perform skits and dialogues together and be introduced to the Greek grammar.

Dimitra Salavasili, M.A.

Dimitra Salavasili was born and raised in Volos, Greece. She graduated from the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education, University of Thessaly, Greece, and completed a Postgraduate Program on learning environments and production of teaching material at the same university. She also completed a postgraduate program in special education at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. She has been teaching students of all ages for the last 10 years. Her great love besides mathematics is the etymology of words, which reveals all the richness of the language and the culture of people.
