French at the CLRC

CLRC offers a full French program for Elementary School, Middle School, and High School - from games, songs, and creative class activities for Elementary school through advanced discussions of French Literature (in French) in High School French 5.

From Latin roots to rich literary, cultural, and artistic contributions, the French language provides an excellent complement to a Classical education. Students of French have a unique access to the writings of authors like Blaise Pascal, Molière, Victor Hugo, Alexandre Dumas, and Albert Camus, and they gain a key perspective to events that have shaped our world such as the French Revolution or the Enlightenment.

Today, French is an official language in 29 countries across North America, Africa, Europe, and Southeast Asia. It is a primary language for business and international affairs and remains a dynamic language across a diverse range of cultures.
