High School French III

his course expands upon the French language skills begin in French 2. Students will broaden their communicative skills and deepen their understanding of written and spoken French. In addition to reviewing the present and pasts tenses studied in French 1 and 2, French 3 will focus on the conditional, future, and subjunctive, along with complex grammatical structures and new vocabulary. Students will continue to learn about the culture and history of the Francophone world, memorize French poetry, and read full length texts.

Alongside approximately 30 hours of live instruction, students will develop their French skills through interactive dialogues, role-play, grammar exercises, creating writing, and reading from a wide range of Francophone sources.

Taking High School Conversational French as a supplement to this class is highly recommended for practice with pronunciation and conversation.
