Bible Study: Highlights of Genesis

“In the beginning God…”

Join us as we delve into the first book of the Old Testament, guided by ancient Christianity and the Church Fathers.

As always with Fr. David, we will learn about the “big picture” of the Holy Scriptures, getting to know the Old Testament as a whole. The totality of both Testaments, with Christ at the center of them, will always be at the center of our learning.

Whether or not you’ve been part of Fr. David’s New Testament classes, join us for a very interactive class–maps, images, reading the Bible out loud–with constant connection to our life now as Christians.

“Fr. David is such a delightful teacher! His thoughtfulness sparks students’ natural curiosity about spiritual things at the same time that his humor keeps them engaged. My daughter has learned a whole new way to interact with the Holy Scriptures.” — Leila B., Virginia

“I love hearing my son laugh during Father David’s class.  Father David is so upbeat and has a great sense of humor. He not only teaches my son about the Bible but also reminds him of what is important in life.”– Shelly C., California

"It is very beneficial to read the word of God in solitude and to read the entire Bible with understanding. The Lord gives His mercy to a man for endeavoring to do this, more than for other good deeds, and fills him with the gift of understanding.” -- St. Seraphim of Sarov
