Middle School Spanish II

This course builds on the concepts learned in CLRC Middle School Spanish I. It is designed for students between the ages of 10 and 13 who have completed Spanish for Children: Primer A. The Primer B depends heavily on particular structures from Primer A, so it is recommended that students begin with Young Spanish I even if they have had some prior Spanish experience.

Students will be introduced to more complex vocabulary and language structures through short grammar lessons, short readings, oral recitations, and conversation practice. By the end of this class, older students should consult with the teacher to see if they should continue to either High School Spanish I or High School Spanish II.

The class includes 15 hours of live, online instruction per semester. Written exercises and oral chants designed for students to practice the newly acquired forms will be assigned weekly.

Taking Middle School Conversational Spanish - Cultura y Conversación as a supplement to this class is highly recommended for practice with pronunciation and conversation.
