RC Refund Policy
When you complete registration for a class at the CLRC, a number of wheels are set in motion.
First, the limited number of available spots in the class is reduced by one (we restrict our class sizes to ensure each student’s opportunity to actively participate in live classroom discussions and exercises). Our administration team begins setting up your student’s account, and access to class web pages. We also commit income to the instructor. Finally, we are charged credit card and Paypal processing fees which are non-refundable after a certain period of time.
As a result, course withdrawals place a significant burden on our administrative personnel and teachers. That’s why we are happy to do whatever we can to help you make a well-informed registration commitment. A chance to correspond with teachers and CLRC staff, online classroom orientations, an opportunity to experience a recorded class–all these are things we can do to help you in your decision-making process.
We do recognize, however, that sometimes circumstances occur that undermine even the best-laid plans. So the CLRC has adopted the following tuition refund policy:
N.B. Because we need to pay for each student at the time of registration we are not able to refund Technology Fees – see Pricing and Fees for more information
-
course fees are fully refundable up to 30 days after the date of registration.
-
a 10% administrative fee will be deducted from the refunded course fees prior to 15 days before the start of class.
-
a 25% administrative fee will be deducted from the refunded course fees less than 15 days before the start of class.
-
After classes begin or in special circumstances, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Special Exception: Math Software Codes
While the refund policy for our Math courses is in general the same as for our other classes, there is one important exception. Our math program utilizes online math teaching software systems to complement our live instruction. The companies that furnish these systems neither make refunds nor allow transfer of software codes after sale. Codes for registered students are activated August 1. So after that date, any refund provided to withdrawing students will be reduced by the non-refundable $35 activation fee already paid to the software company.
