Summer FUN with Functions!

his is an exploratory hands-on course. Students will explore the basic properties of linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, and radical functions through a series of hands-on activities.

Theory will be kept to a minimal, while guided discovery will be the focus. Students will discover the basic facts about these functions through a series of carefully designed activities.

This course is intended for students who have taken Algebra 1 or Geometry and want to prepare for Algebra 2, or for students who have taken Algebra 2 or Precalculus and want to gain a deeper understanding of the important concept of functions.

The course will meet for 4 weeks, two hours a week. In addition to class time, students should expect to spend at least two hours a week exploring functions at home using tools provided by the instructor.

Materials will be provided by the Instructor.
